David Beckham opens Cross Gates primary's summer fair
Visitors to a Cross Gates primary school's summer fair could not believe what they were seeing when football superstar David Beckham turned up to open the event.
Except it wasn't Becks at all, it was lookalike Paul Mansley, from Headingley, who was seen on BBC1's The Apprentice earlier this year when one of the teams enlisted lookalikes for a photo shoot.
Paul opened the event at Manston St James's Primary School and spent the afternoon holding photo sessions.
Other attractions included a climbing wall, games, face painting, stalls and barbecue and around 2,500 was raised.
Claire Coyle, secretary of The Friends of Manston St James, said: "The weather was disappointing and we had to hold everything inside, but everybody had a great time."
