Cross Gates Primary wins RL award
Cross Gates Primary School - in its first season of schools rugby league - has been awarded the Leeds and Hunslet Ben Bateson Trophy, which is presented annually to a team showing enthusiasm, commitment and a good sporting attitude.
For the first time this year a similar award, the Roy Francis Trophy, has been made to the David Young Academy Year 8 team, also relative newcomers to the league.
Bruntcliffe High School's Year 7 team was also nominated for the award.
