Cross Gates Good Neighbours: Tombola proves a hit

A tombola stall has raised much needed funds for Cross Gates and District Good Neighbours Scheme.

Jacki Lawrence, of Cross Gates and District Good Neighbours Scheme, said the stall at Crossgates Shopping Centre was extremely well supported by shoppers.

"It seems the generosity of the public knows no bounds even in these straitened times."

Mrs Lawrence added: "There were well over a hundred lovely prizes on the stall and many lucky winners walked away happy.

"We would like to extend our thanks to all who supported the event, including local businesses Unilever UK Ltd, Tesco Seacroft, Sainsbury's Colton, Kirsti Gale at Arts and Flowers and not least the shopping centre management.

"We are always grateful to receive good quality goods to use in our fund raising efforst. Just drop them off at our Centre in Station Road, Cross Gates."
