Cottingley Primary: Weatherman Paul Hudson opens new play area

Cottingley Primary School pupils are now the proud owners of a garden and play area donated by Elan, a Leeds IT recruitment specialist and other organisations.

And telly weatherman Paul Hudson called in to open the new play area, now transformed from a piece of derelict land in the school grounds into an area that can be accessed by all pupils, in particular some of the disabled pupils who previously would not have had any access to the land.

Cottingley Primary School has a large number of disabled pupils and is a central part of the Cottingley estate community.

Lindsey Campbell, Elan's CSR Manager said: "This was truly a great example of businesses within the community working together to provide a sustainable play area for children to learn through play and unwind between lessons."
