"I must have knitted hundreds and hundreds of dolls and thousands of pieces of clothing over the years."
Mrs Pawsey said that she first started to raise money for another charity but didn't feel her work was being appreciated.
"I live near the airport and the helicopters fly over my house all the time so that's when I decided to do something to help Yorkshire Air Ambulance," she said.
"Every time I raise money for them they send me a certificate so I have got about four now. I would like to raise about 2,000 again this year but it is a lot of hard work."
Mrs Pawsey said she wouldn't have been able to raise so much money if people hadn't been so kind and donated wool and buttons to her.
She added: "I would just like to say thank you to everyone who donates and it is all greatly appreciated.
"I'm on the lookout for some colourful buttons for dolls clothes and baby clothes at the moment but I hope to be able to carry on knitting for as long as I can.
"I don't think that I will run out of wool for at least another ten years!"
The next event on her schedule will be the vintage car extravaganza in Otley in September which will be followed by a doll and teddy collectors fair in Pudsey Civic Hall in October.
