Cannabis harvest seized in raid on Beeston house

Two people have been arrested after police seized cannabis at a house in Beeston.

Police swooped on Heath Grove on Wednesday, June 24, and found 10 mature plants, cultivation equipment, four carrier bags of harvested leaves and three bags containing a quantity of resin.

A 27-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were both arrested for possession with intent to supply a controlled drug and cultivation of cannabis.

Insp Damien Miller of Holbeck neighbourhood policing team, said: "Information from the community is crucial when it comes to catching people cultivating cannabis. If you suspect someone of being involved you should contact your neighbourhood police or Crimestoppers anonymously."
