The man, who was found in woodland between Buslingthorpe Lane and Scott Hall Rise, Buslingthorpe, was named as Martin Grogan.

He lived in that area of Leeds with a partner.

Police officers were alerted at about 5.30pm on Saturday, September 12, after a passerby is believed to have discovered the body in a small beck in the woodland.

Detectives sealed off the area while a detailed examination of the scene was carried out by forensic and other experts.

A post mortem examination was carried out later and revealed that Mr Grogan died from drowning.
