Beeston: Hospital for man in pan blaze

A man was taken to hospital after a fire in his Beeston flat.

The man in his 30s suffered smoke inhalation after a pan caught fire at the flat in Burlington Road at 9.30pm on Thursday, November 12.

He was alerted to the blaze when a fire alarm went off and was outside when firefighters from Hunslet arrived.

They gave him oxygen and he was taken to St James's Hospital in Leeds

by ambulance.

Minor damage was caused to the kitchen.
