An inspiration for ex-Trinity & All Saints lecturer's art

A former art lecturer at Horsforth's Trinity & All Saints College has returned to his creative roots to launch a new exhibition in the city that first inspired him.

Artist Trevor Edmand, who studied at Leeds College of Art in the 1960s, has opened his new exhibition of paintings and sculptures at the Artco Gallery, Meanwood Close in Leeds.

After graduating Trevor returned to the city twice in the 1970s and again in the 1980s to take up the post of senior art lecturer at Trinity & All Saints College in Horsforth.

The gallery's art director, Leah Hester-Brown, said: "We are extremely excited and honoured to be able to exhibit such a varied and powerful body of work by such a highly respected artist."

He has shown his work in gallerys throughout the UK, Europe and America.

His work is covers a wide range of styles from traditional sculpture to more abstract painting.
