"Allerton Primary has helped us achieve this by getting this plan in place. They thoroughly deserve their reward, which I am sure they will use to make the school even better."
Councillor Ruth Feldman (Con Alwoodley) said: "This School Travel Plan will have a positive impact on pupils at Allerton C of E Primary School and the surrounding community. It will reduce the number of car journeys to the school, easing congestion on surrounding roads, and gives the school some additional funding to make improvements. It is good to see local schools getting these plans in place."
Councillor Ronnie Feldman (Conservative, Alwoodley ward) said:
"I congratulate Allerton C of E Primary for developing a Travel Plan. It will give them some valuable additional funding and will also make the school more environmentally friendly. Just as importantly, it will give youngsters the opportunity to safely walk or cycle to school, helping them to stay fit and healthy."
