Adam Chadwick: Plea to woman who holds key to murder
A year to the day since Seacroft dad Adam Chadwick was shot, the detective hunting his killers sent an emotional appeal to the woman who knows who they are.
Det Supt Steve Payne told the woman who knocked at Adam's sister's door moments before he was shot: "You may be a mother already or you may hope some day to become a mother.

"I ask you to put yourself in the shoes of Adam's parents, Jackie and Martin, who have lost their much loved son. How would you feel? Please tell us what you know and help the police bring some closure to that family."

Adam's daughter Ruby was just three, when he was shot visiting his sister Gemma's home in Clifton Mount, Harehills, Leeds, on June 24 2008.
The woman who had knocked at doors in the street earlier in the day asking for 'Michelle' returned at 10.40pm – accompanied by three black men in masks and camouflage clothing. They forced their way in and shot Adam as he and Gemma's boyfriend struggled with them.
Adam's dad Martin told Seacroft Today: "It is 12 months since Adam was murdered. We still miss him daily and it still hurts not knowing why. Every weekend Jackie and I look after Ruby.
"She still doesn't understand why she can't see her daddy or why she puts flowers on his grave when we tell her that daddy is in the sky in heaven. A tear is shed daily when we have thoughts of Adam of what he had done or what he should still be doing."
One key clue to the killers' identities is the Russian converted 9mm Baikal gun used in the shooting. Det Supt Payne says anyone with information about it will be given complete anonymity.
Another crucial element is discovering where a Ford Focus C-Max, believed to be the gang's getaway car and found abandoned on Chapeltown Road, Chapeltown, was kept in the days before the shooting.
The car was seen at 11.30pm on June 20 on the forecourt of the BP Garage on Roundhay Road, Chapeltown. It had sun blinds in its side windows.
Police are eager to speak to anyone who saw the car between June 20 and 25, particularly where it had a spare tyre fitted.
The woman seeking 'Michelle' was white, aged 27 to 28, 5ft 5 ins tall with dark brown hair, olive skin and dark eyes. She wore a baggy black fleece or cardigan over a round neck black top .
A 5,000 Crimestoppers reward and local and national media appeals have failed to find the killers. Contact police on (0113) 2413006 or
