BUDDING sleuths are being sought to solve a dastardly crime at Kirkstall Abbey House Museum.

Victorian sweet shop assistant Mrs Mixup has been murdered and there are plenty of clues to follow at a detective-themed fun day during the half-term school holidays next week.

Families with children aged 10 or over can launch their investigations at the museum from 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 4pm on Thursday February 19.

Museum education officer Sarah Allen said: “We make sure that younger siblings can join in too with squeaky truncheons, helmets and plenty of disguises to make.” For more information, e-mail abbey.house@leeds.gov.uk or call 0113 2305492.
