Leeds boxing hero Josh Warrington showed off his softer side to help officially open a new £1.5m animal centre.
The star opened the new RSPCA Leeds, Wakefield and District branch’s new facility in East Ardsley which has spent more than 10 years in the planning.
The new state-of-the-art centre will care for and rehabilitate animals rescued from cruelty and neglect by the charity’s officers in West Yorkshire.
It is over 10 years since the branch’s old centre on Cavendish Street closed its doors in 2004.
The animal protection charity has a special place in Josh’s heart after his family adopted a St Bernard dog called Dexter from the charity last year.
