A team of volunteers is needed to help lift the Chevin Cross into place in time for the Easter celebrations.
The cross stands at around 30ft tall and will be installed at Otley Chevin on Saturday, March 21, at 9.30am.
At least 50 people are needed to install the cross at the site above Otley and 20 volunteers are needed to load the sections of the cross at the old Fire Station near the Courthouse Street car park from 9am. The cross on the Chevin, which was installed for the first time in 1968 was rebuilt for Easter in 2000 using timbers salvaged from the bombed Arndale Centre in Manchester. Volunteers should arrive at Surprise View at 9.15am.
