A PENSIONER who survived three heart attacks in three consecutive nights will get on his bike for charity at next month’s Pudsey Carnival.

Pudsey grandfather Ken Downing, 70, will be one of a team of seven tackling a 200-mile static bike ride within six hours during the carnival at Queen’s Park off Victoria Road from 12pm on Saturday May 16. Mr Downing, (pictured) who suffered the heart attacks in September 2010, will be fundraising for the British Heart Foundation. He completed a 26-mile walk in 2012 to raise cash for the charity.

Attractions at Pudsey Carnival will include a funfair and stalls. The carnival parade will start at 12pm at Queen’s Park.
