Leeds City College and the Leeds Macmillan Head and Neck Local Support Team hosted the special event for patients, many of whom have difficulties in swallowing, eating or drinking and have a liquid, puree or soft diet.

Jennifer Carne from the support team said: “I think a lot of people feel self-conscious going out for a meal with all these added complications. The idea was to design a menu suitable for everyone.” Some 20 patients enjoyed the festive meal in the college’s Printworks campus restaurant.
