Dig out the suits and the ballroom dresses, it is time to face cancer with a fancy frock on.

Masquerade for Macmillan is an annual fundraising event which this year will be held at The Queens Hotel in Leeds city centre on Saturday night.

As well as dancing the night away to live music acts and a series of fundraising activities on the night there will be a three course dinner and drinks and a showcase of the work that MacMillan does across the city.

Leeds Fundraising Manager for Macmillan, Matt Jameson said: “This is the fifth year we’ve put on the Ball. It’s always a roaring success but I feel this year will be better than ever.

“There will be great live entertainment, auctions, raffles with lovely prizes and some very familiar faces.

“Macmillan believe that life with cancer is still life and we want to help people live it.

“The support of all donations large or small, make sure we are there to support people in Leeds affected by cancer.”

Saturday’s ball starts at 7pm and goes on until 1am.

Tickets via Matt Jameson on 07595 091 851 or mjameson@macmillan.org.uk

One of the charity’s other most popular events takes place around Leeds on September 29 with the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
