PEOPLE in Leeds are about to have a ball as the world’s first urban zorbing marathon rolls into the city.

The Bounce Zorbathon event is a new challenge that will see Leeds go head-to-head with London and Birmingham for the title of ‘The UK’s Most Unstoppable City’.

Participants will be invited to make their way around a specially-designed course.

The city that completes the most miles across two days will be crowned the winners of the competition.

Mark Tanous, chief executive at Bounce Foods Europe, said: “At Bounce we want people to feel unstoppable.

“Take a bit of time out this summer and have a ball with us – with a little bit of competitive spirit thrown in”.

He added: “Get down to the Bounce Zorbathon to show us what you’re made of.”

The free zorbing event will be held at London’s Southbank on July 16 and 17 before it comes to Briggate on July 23 and 24.

The final stop will be Birmingham, when the zorbing experience arrives on July 29 and 30.

Those who get involved will also get a free goodie bag.
