Harehills man wanted on recall to prison

DETECTIVES are appealing for help in tracing a convicted burglar who is wanted on recall to prison.

Michael Swanson, 24, of Harehills, was sentenced for burglary in November 2013 and released on licence in June this year.

West Yorkshire Police said he is wanted on recall to prison for breaching the conditions of his licence.

Swanson is about 5ft 9ins tall, of medium build with short brown hair and blue eyes. He also has a scar near his left eye.

He is known to frequent the Roundhay, Gipton and Harehills areas of Leeds, as well as Pontefract and Wakefield.

Detective Inspector Steve Greenbank, of Leeds District CID, said: “Officers have carried out detailed enquiries to trace Swanson and are fully briefed as to his description.

“If he is not prepared to adhere to these strict guidelines then he must be brought to justice and recalled to prison.

“I would urge anyone who sees him to contact Leeds CID on 101 or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
