Wild West reenactments have drawn crowds of shoppers to Morley Market, in Queen Street.

Members of the Trailblazers group brought period clothing and weapons to the market on Saturday and hosted a number of informative talks between three pretend gun battles.

Dave Wilson, market manager, said: “I think it’s a case of what kind of events can you put on to attract people to come and shop at the market.

“We thought outside the box and tried something a bit different that provided both entertainment and a bit of history.

“The Trailblazers were well received by both traders and the public.”

The historic market hosts 60 shopping stalls including everything from bakers and butchers to fish, fruit and veg stalls.
