A nursery nurse from Leeds has received Girlguiding’s highest accolade.

Lucy Greenfield, 24, was given the Queen’s Guide Award by chief guide Gill Slocombe at the House of Commons. Fewer than 200 Girlguiding members complete the award annually.

Lucy, who took three years to complete the award, said: “Completing the award has helped me become far more confident, it’s shown me I am capable of doing more than I imagined.”
