Girlguides marked 100 years of fun at Wetherby

Up to 12,000 Girlguides met to take part in a centenery celebration with a starry theme.

The girls from across the north east of England – including groups from Leeds – met at Wetherby Racecourse on Saturday to mark 100 years of the Brownies.

A theme of Star Quest Spectacular saw members take part in challenges, explore space in two pop-up planetariums, take part in Zumba dancing and watch bike, skate and aerial displays.

The day ended with a spectacular fireworks display.
