Tech companies rely on open and transparent communication and giving colleagues the freedom and inspiration to influence the development of projects.

This is why our whole-company event last week, The Gathering, was so important, particularly as our headcount continues to grow and we expand across more sites in the UK and overseas.

The day-long festival with over 800 attendees, complete with tipis, flowers, inflatables, giant letters, a VW camper cocktail bar, live music and glitter booths, allowed us not only to thank our people for another year of stellar growth, but to provide a backdrop to a series of key events from presenters who pulled together some great content.

We welcomed David Rowan, Editor at Large of WIRED Magazine to our main stage, who spoke on Megatrends including global device usage and smart toilets.

We also heard discussions on the future of tech, big data, politics, payments and diversity from our own talent.

We also had a platform to introduce our new vision and values now we’re an independent company.

It’s a big investment to make for a one day party. But bringing our people together, giving open access to really rich content, supporting them in deepening their relationships and building their networks is a great way to kick off a new year of growth.
