The funeral of teenager Alexandra Binns, who was one of four friends killed in a horrific quad bike crash in Hemsworth, will take place later this week.

Miss Binns 18, died along with her three friends Ryan Beal, Brandon Brown, both 20, and Terrie Kirby, 16, when their quad bike was hit from behind by a Nissan 350Z on the A6201 between Upton and Hemsworth at around 12.30am on Sunday, September 27.

Her funeral will take place at St Mary’s Church in South Elmsall on Friday, October 16 from noon.

There will be a white horse drawn carriage which will pass through Upton, onto Mill Lane and onto High Street before the funeral.

James Ryder, principal funeral director at Infinity Funeral Arrangements, asked the public and press to respect the privacy of the grieving family on the day and for motorists around the area to expect delays.

Miss Binns’ family have also asked people attending the service to wear an item of purple clothing.
