Fire service send engines from across West Yorkshire to Leeds flat fire

Fire crews from across West Yorkshire attended a fire at a Leeds flat this weekend.

The fire is believed to have started due to a washing machine, the fire service said.

Crews from Rawdon, Cookridge and Shipley tackled the blaze on Queensway, Yeadon.

Fire crews used hoses and ventilation to extinguish the fire.

Smoke alarms had activated, the fire service confirmed.
