The latest restaurant to join the Leeds line up is making a splash before it has even opened.

A total of 20 colourful origami fish have been hidden across the city, and those lucky enough to find one will win a free lunch for two at the new Japanese rooftop restaurant opening in Victoria Gate.

They will be able to tuck into authentic Japanese dishes with a contemporary twist as well as a range of sake and Japanese-inspired cocktails.

The team at Issho came up with the idea, as well as chance to win a holiday to Japan, due to interest being shown in the restaurant before it even opens on Wednesday June 21.

Paul Rogers, senior general manager at Issho, said: “With just a couple of weeks to go until the launch, the excitement is really building and we want to share that buzz with the people of Leeds.

“Issho is already proving popular, with spaces for its upcoming soft launch selling out in just a few days.

“It’s fantastic to see food fans showing support for the newest addition to the city’s dining scene and we’re sure its combination of dishes, cocktails and our rooftop Kori bar will help ensure it becomes a firm Leeds favourite.”
