Families can enjoy music from the big and small screen at a charity concert on Saturday. (Oct 15)

Phoenix Concert Band’s performance of film and TV tunes will feature favourites such as Doctor Who, Star Wars, Frozen and Star Trek.

The concert, which starts at 6pm in St George’s Church, Great George Street, will raise money for St George’s Crypt, helping homeless people.

Verity Griffiths, St George’s Crypt fundraiser, said: “Fundraising events like this help us deliver our crucial service 365 days a year. We feed over 70 people each day and can accommodate up to 36 people each night but perhaps more importantly we offer many training and engagement opportunities to help people regain self-esteem, build confidence and make a positive step to a new life.”

Tickets are free for those under 16. For tickets visit: https://billetto.co.uk/far-away-places.
