Expensive watches stolen in Horsforth jewellery shop robbery

Robbers made off with a haul of pricey timepieces after targeting a jewellery shop in Horsforth.

Three men in balaclavas smashed the glass front door of Leevans on Town Street with a brick during the robbery at 1.10pm on Thursday.

They arrived in a blue Ford Focus and stole watches from a window display while staff hid in the back of the shop. Nobody was hurt.

Detectives are conducting extensive enquiries into the incident and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the crime or who has any information that could assist the investigation.
