Heavy metal legends Metallica have promised fans the biggest and most expensive stage show in the history of the Leeds Festival.

The San Francisco four-piece are set to close this year’s festival and told attendees to expect “an unmissable and unforgettable” show.

A source close to the band told the YEP: “Metallica is planning an incredible show for Leeds.

“We will be using every inch of the stage, a massive LED lighting rig and will have screens everywhere and huge pyrotechnics.

“It is our biggest festival production and the most expensive in the history of Reading and Leeds.

“Everyone is working flat out to make this happen.”

Tickets still on sale.
