An estate agent is supporting a South Leeds cricket club to mark a memorable milestone.

Carlton Cricket Club is this year celebrating 150 years since its formation.

And the Rothwell branch of Manning Stainton is supporting the anniversary by providing new playing shirts for the club’s first team cricketers.

Branch Manager Gerry Downs said: “We are delighted to be supporting the club during this very special year.

“One hundred and fifty years of playing cricket in the village is an incredible achievement and one which everyone connected with the club should be extremely proud.”

The estate agent branch is supporting the club as part of the company’s Community Support Programme.

More than £50,000 donated to the club, schools and organisations through the scheme over the last 12 months.
