Telly soap stars have been putting their on-screen family woes behind them to bring Christmas joy to Yorkshire youngsters.
Emmerdale actors handed over toys they and fellow cast members have collected to the Yorkshire Evening Post-backed Cash for Kids Christmas Appeal.
Leading the handover at Leeds's YTV studios was Cash for Kids patron James Thornton, who plays John Barton in the show.
He was joined by actors Natalie Robb who plays his wife Moira and on-screen daughter Sophie Powles who as teenager Holly is battling against drug addiction.
Also lending a hand were co-stars Marc Silcock (Jackson Walsh) and Danny Miller (Aaron Livesey).
James said: "It is wonderful to know that all the toys collected will go to the kids who otherwise may not receive anything this Christmas."
The appeal is organised by 96.3 Radio Aire and sister station Magic 828 in association with Leed's Crown Point Shopping Park.
So far it has delivered 100,000 worth of toys to more than 3,000 underprivileged children in West Yorkshire.
Next week sees the final few days of this year's appeal and the Cash for Kids Charity team at Radio Aire and Magic are urging everybody to make one last effort to brighten a child's Christmas.
Presents can be left until Monday at any store at Crown Point as well as at the YEP offices in Wellington Street or the Radio Aire and Magic 828 studios in Burley Road. To donate go to www.radioaire.com or call 0113 283 5555.
