FORMER MP Edwina Currie took to the stage at a Leeds synagogue to help raise £3,500.

Around 170 people attended the ‘Loose Women’-themed panel event for Yorkshire Cancer Research’s Leeds Committee last month.

Edwina also auctioned off a pair of her own purple snake skin trousers at the event at the BHH Synagogue in Moortown. Rosalind Peters, co-chair of the committee, said: “The evening was amazing! Edwina Currie and everyone on the panel were terrific.”

Panel members also included Raina Sheaf, Norma Collins and Helen Bush.
