Leeds pupils sing at shopping centre to launch fanfare of festivities

Schoolchildren spread festive cheer throughout a Leeds shopping centre as they performed carols under a giant Christmas tree.

More than 100 pupils from Windmill and Low Road Primary Schools in Belle Isle were accompanied by the Opera North brass ensemble as they sang at the Festive Fanfare at Trinity Leeds. The event was part of the Opera North In Harmony project providing music activities for pupils.

Trinity Leeds’s 66-ft Kissing Tree contains 25,000 lights which are illuminated when two people kiss beneath it.
