Young rugby league players have got their own changing room at long last thanks to a £5,000 grant from the Banks Community Fund.

Methley Warriors ARLFC, which has about 120 members aged between six and 17, has until now had to share facilities at its Church Lane Rugby Fields base with a football team. But it now has a new portable changing room thanks to funding provided by developer Banks Property.

The club was started 15 years ago by coach Andrew Ward.

It runs teams from under 7 to U17 levels in the Yorkshire Junior League and hopes the new facilities will attract even more players.

Ring Mr Ward on 07769 685756 for more.
