Will there be a repeat of ‘Mash Get Smashed’ and Shrek at Methley scarecrow festival this weekend?

This Saturday’s and Sunday’s show will feature some traditional and unique creations around the village. Last year’s show highlights included Bertie Bassett and characters inspired by the classic Smash advert. But this year’s creations are being kept under wraps until the event starts. Scarecrows will be in gardens all around the village from 10am until 5pm. Trail maps will be on sale in village shops in the run up to the festival. Other attractions include a barbecue, sandwiches and refreshments at St Margaret’s Hall.
