Cyclist left in critical condition after crash in Horbury

A 52-YEAR-OLD cyclist is in critical condition after falling from his bike in Wakefield yesterday.

West Yorkshire Police is appealing for information about the incident which took place at 5pm on Spring End Road, in Horbury, near to Springfield Mill Business Park on Friday 22 April.

The cyclist was travelling along Spring End Road, from Ossett to Horbury, when he fell from his bike and suffered serious injury.

The 52-year-old man was taken to Leeds General Infirmary where he remains in a critical condition.

PC Alan Wilson of Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Support Team, said: “We are appealing for witnesses to this incident and anyone who was in the area at the time to contact myself at the Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Support Team on 101 quoting reference 1286 of April 22.”
