A woman was dragged into a car park in a terrifying sex attack in Leeds the early hours of this morning (Friday).

The 21-year-old female was walking along Hyde Park Road near the junction with Woodsley Road, in Hyde Park, at about 4am when she heard footsteps behind her.

Det Insp Ian Lawrence, from Leeds District CID, said: “The victim was then dragged into a nearby car park where she was subjected to a sexual assault before she screamed and the suspect fled on foot in the direction of Burley Road.”

The man was white, in his late 20s or early 30s, with light blond or ginger hair, which was spiked up at the front.

He was wearing dark shoes, light blue jeans and a dark top.

Det Insp Lawrence added: “Patrols by neighbourhood officers have been increased in the area and I would appeal for anyone who may have seen something suspicious that could be linked to this incident, or anyone who recognises the description of the suspect, to contact police.”
