Woman appears in court charged over Leeds flat murder UPDATED

A 20-year-old woman has appeared at court charged with the murder of a 33-year-old man at his Leeds flat in Leeds.

Joanne Green of Hawkswood Place, Kirkstall, Leeds, was remanded in custody to reappear next week at Leeds Magistrates Court charged with the murder of Darren Edeson at his flat in Parkway Towers, Seacroft, Leeds.

Police had earlier launched a murder inquiry after officers were called to the flat last Tuesday evening. They were alerted by an ambulance crew who found the body.

Mr Edeson was pronounced already dead at the scene.

Mr Edeson was a father of two young children, Darren(corr) and Chloe and also leaves his mother, Mrs Carole Edeson. He was predeceased by his father, Mr Michael Edeson.
