Two men arrested after teen seriously injured in car crash

A TEENAGER was taken to hospital with serious head and leg injuries after a crash in Wakefield.

The 18-year-old man was a passenger in a red MG car that was travelling along Flanshaw Way towards Flanshaw Lane, when it left the road and collided with a tree.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Two men, aged 26 and 27, who were believed to be travelling in the car, were arrested on suspicion of road traffic offences and remain in custody.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, which took place at around 9.20pm on Tuesday, November 24, is asked to contact the Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Support team on 101.
