Two men have been arrested this morning (Wednesday) over a suspected break-in attempt at a museum in Leeds.

Police were called to Abbey House Museum in Kirkstall at about 6am following reports that intruders were on the roof.

A 25-year-old man and a 27-year-old man have been arrested and are in custody.

The museum, opposite Kirkstall Abbey on Kirkstall Road, offers visitors the chance to see how life would have looked on a typical Victorian street.
