A ballroom dancing medal was among a haul of suspected stolen goods found at a house in Leeds.

Police are now looking for the owners of property seized from the property on the Hawksworth estate on Thursday.

The medal is inscribed with the words ‘National Association Teachers of Dancing - Ballroom Bronze’. There was also a collection of foreign coins and several pendants.

Two men, aged 25 and 54, and a 24-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Det Con Andy McCombe, of Leeds neigbourhood crime team, said: “The circumstances in which these items were recovered suggest they are stolen and it’s possible they are all linked.

“The ballroom dancing medal is quite a distinctive item and I would like to hear from anyone who recognises it or any of the other items as being theirs.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact DC McCombe at Weetwood Police Station via 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
