Six guitars worth a total of nearly £2,000 have been stolen from a house in Leeds.

Police are appealing for information after the six electric guitars and jewellery were taken from a property in Armley Ridge Road, Armley.

PC Richard Hipkins, of Leeds neighbourhood crime team, said: “A collection of this nature has huge sentimental value to the owner who is keen for the items to be recovered. Some of the models are particularly distintictive and we would like to hear from anyone who has been offered any of the guitars for sale.

“We have been contacting second hand shops and music shops across Leeds to circulate details of the guitars.”

the incident happened between 9am and 6pm on Thurdsday, June 4.

The stolen guitars are a Parker P35, a Westone Thunder 2, a Vintage Wraith, a Skylark seven string, a Peavey Zodiac and an Epiphone ES345.

Anyone with information should call PC Hipkins at Weetwood police station via 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

West Yorkshire Police has released details of the misconduct hearing on its website.
