Masked robbers armed with hammers raided a convenience store in Leeds.

Police are appealing for information after the incident at the Co-op at Swinnow Shopping Centre, in Swinnow Lane, on Saturday night. (March 15)

The pair walked in just before 11pm on Saturday and threatened staff.

They ordered them to fill bags with cash and cigarettes before escaping.

The men had their faces covered and were wearing dark clothing, with one wearing a dark blue hooded top with lime green trim around the neck.

Anyone who was in the area and saw the men or who has any information that could assist the investigation should contact Detective Constable Alex Cullen at Weetwood Police Station via 101 or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
