Police want to speak to this man after a punter was the victim of an “unprovoked assault” at a pub at Leeds railway station.

The 24-year-old, from Sheffield, was in Wetherspoons with friends on the night of October 19 when he got into a verbal spat with another man.

PC Chris Coombs, of British Transport Police, said: “Staff working in the bar attempted to intervene but the man became increasingly aggressive and hit the victim in the face.

“The victim received damage to his left eye which required hospital treatment.

“This was a violent and unprovoked assault and it’s important that we trace the person responsible.”

Anyone who recognises the man should call BTP on 0800 405040, or text 61016, quoting reference PSUB/B2 of October 27.
