Man found with MEAT CLEAVER while trying to break into container in Leeds

It happened in the Beeston area on Saturday, February 15.

PCSO Gill came across the man trying to force the lock and break into a metal container.

The officer then searched the man and found the weapon as well as cannabis in his bag.

He was arrested for attempt theft, possession of cannabis and possession of a bladed article.

The West Yorkshire Police Leeds South team said: "On Saturday, February 15, PCSO Gill detained a male who he came across in Beeston.

"The male had been seen trying to break into a metal container by attempting to force the lock.

"Officers searched the male and located this meat cleaver and a quantity of cannabis in his bag.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
