Man due in court over armed robberies at Leeds travel agents

A man charged with armed robberies at travel agents shops in Leeds was expected to appear in court today.

The 23-year-old man is charged with robbing Althams Travel in Lowtown, Pudsey, on May 1, and Thomson Travel at Town Street, Horsforth, on May 6.

He is also charged with attempted robbery at Althams Travel at High Street, Yeadon, on May 1.

The man was due to appear at Leeds Magistrates Court today.

Two other men, aged 43 and 32, have been arrested as part of the investigation by Leeds District CID.

They are both currently on police bail pending further enquiries.

The meeting will focus on the safety of the city's taxi drivers.
