A man wanted by Police Scotland was arrested in Leeds after being spotted acting suspiciously in a residential street.

Police received a call on Monday afternoon to say a man had been seen walking up and down Kensington Terrace in Hyde Park, looking into car windows.

Officers from the Leeds Inner North West team tracked him down and discovered he was wanted in Scotland.

A police spokesman said: “If you see somebody who is acting suspiciously in your street, especially looking into vehicle or properties, please contact the police on 101 or 999 if you think they are going to break in somewhere.”

Detectives have released CCTV images captured during an armed robbery at The Three Hulats in Chapel Allerton.
