Leeds: Victim’s ‘trousers were ripped off’ in apparent hit and run

A MAN was taken to hospital with injuries after an apparent hit-and-run in Leeds.

The injured man, believed to be Russian and in his early 30s, had had his trousers partially ripped from him in the accident in Kirkstall Lane, outside the Headingley Carnegie sports stadium, at around 4.40am on Monday, May 2.

The man was given first aid at the scene by passer-by Bryan Wagner-Adair and taken to hospital for treatment.

A motorist went to Weetwood Police Station on Monday afternoon and said he had been the driver of the car involved.

The police said that a man would be reported for possible prosecution for failing to stop after an accident.
