Leeds taxi driver blinded in one eye after attack

A taxi driver was blinded in one eye after being attacked in Leeds.

The 36-year-old man was punched in the face following an argument with two men on Albion Street at about 5.10am on Sunday.

He is undergoing surgery and it is unclear if the injury is permanent.

Police are appealing for information. The men were white, aged 22 to 23 and about 5ft 10ins tall. One of the men was wearing dark blue jeans and a woollen jacket and the other was wearing cream trousers and a light shirt. Both men had blond hair.
