A MAN suffered serious head injuries when he was brutally beaten by three men on the doorstep of his home in Leeds.

West Yorkshire Police are appealing for information following the assault on Saturday night. (August 25)

Police said three men knocked on the 36-year-old man’s door at address in Low Lane, Horsforth, just before 9.30pm.

He was attacked on the doorstep after answering the door.

The suspects ran off down Low Lane after subjecting their victim to a brutal beating.

Emergency services were alerted and the attack victim was taken to hospital in Leeds where his condition was described as serious.

The suspects are described as three Afro Caribbean males.

A Police spokesman said: “Inquiries are ongoing and police are asking for anyone with information about the incident to contact West Yorkshire Police on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
